Hello Touring Cycle Family,
I am a US cyclist planning my first overseas, self-supported bicycle tour in October. I'm planning to go to Turkey for 2 weeks with a friend. We're just beginning the plan. Any and all tips are welcome. 'm hoping to stay with Warm Showers hosts, and get tips from hosts for routes, and or good camping sites and hostels.
As for destinations: Istanbul is a big draw, as is the coast (Antalya, Fethiye, Kas - thinking of adding a little diving) but so is Cappadocia. So much to see.
I'm also wondering whether it's feasible to rent a decent packing bike for two weeks rather than having to ship my bike.
